Good point. Still, FSU just seemed to be playing bad football at times against mediocre opponents. Ohio State in 02 found themselves in a lot of tight games because the game plan going in was to rely on defense, run Dave, run it again, pass only when you have to, and be elated to punt or kick a FG. I think there was a recognition with them that they were a very talented, well-coached football team that found a way to win, whereas FSU appeared to be a flawed team, with significant holes, that didn't seem to exucute well, and was somewhat undisciplined.

I don't disagree with the fact that they looked bad against inferior opponents, but overall, their schedule was more impressive to me than Baylor or TCU. The Big XII showed what a clown show it was this year in the bowls, and FSU at least scheduled some decent OOC games.
