There are people out there that were against the playoff and still supported the BCS. Funny to think that if the BCS was still alive this season it would have been 'Bama vs. FSU, and that would have sucked.
Also, for all the talk of how the powerful the SEC West was and people calling for 2 or more of their teams to be in the playoff...they went 2-5 in bowls this year.

Wrong! Just had to say it. My prediction was Oregon up by 40 at half. I guess I was wrong too it was by 39 at the end of the third. I enjoyed that game soooooooo much. Sitting at a bar in st Augustine next to the most obnoxious FSU fans I've ever seen. Screaming that they wanted to 'lynch the fat f'ing refs' and they wanted the FSU defense to hit mariotta so hard they snap his neck. Plus continuous comments about Winston raping the defense. FSU fans that I know are trailer trash and it was great to see them put in their place.

It's nice to see the SEC come down to earth, but I really feel like the AP voters and playoff committee screwed them over with bowl matchups by buying into the "ZOMG SEC WEST BEST EVER" hype. The Miss schools were up this year because everyone else was down but Bama, and even they weren't playing at the level they've been at the last several years. I can understand not wanting Georgia in the Orange bowl for a back to back rematch, but they absolutely should have been in the Peach. Miss State beat what, one team that will end the season ranked? Replace them with Mizzou and I think you would get a much more competitive showing.

When I went over last night they were still all talking about how TCU got screwed... now that seems to have shifted into "TCU should've gone over FSU" rather than Ohio State.
It's just as delusional though, FSU was the undefeated defending champ on a 27game winning streak. And besides BXII is coming out of this bowl season looking no better than the ACC...
BXII 1-4 against P5 conferences (2 more left to play)
ACC 2-6 against P5 (none left)
