2013 TSUN shenanigans and arguments

Hoke's not waiting too long for 2015 commits now, is he? What is that, 4 for the class so far? And still 17 months to go.

Does this mean we'll have to put up with 15 months of hearing how scUM has a number one recruiting class?

Does going 0-3 against the Buckeyes between now and then create a coaching change by then? Or would he just be on the hot plate at that point?

This is exactly what I was thinking. While its a good start, I hope TTUN fans can it, for a while.

Lets not lose focus on the thread here, but with all the talent Hoke is bringing in over these last few classes, you're insane if you think he's going anywhere.

Thanks for the laugh though :oh:

I really didn't think it needed to be said but it doesn't really matter how much talent you have if you can't win with it. If the school really thinks Hoke is bringing in top talent then his expectations should be 12-0, 11-1, and 10-2 with conference and national championships like at Ohio State. Not this 8-5 shit.

It will be interesting to see if Hoke can maintain the recruiting momentum if/when he can no longer pitch bad depth. Right now a lot of these recruits are likely seeing early playing time as being very attractive. Hoke may be a very good recruiter, but it's going to get harder for him in a couple of years. Of course, Hoke may use the Ron Zook method where he doesn't develop any of his talent, and can then always sell new recruits on being the next big thing.

I agree Hoke will have a long tenure but I think that has more to do with how the last coach came and went than anything Hoke is doing. scUM can't afford another <5 year HC, it makes it that much harder to get the next guy to come in. Many of us called this one when they hired Rich Rod, part of the beauty was going to be that tsun would be absolutely married to the next guy for 5+ years no matter what.

That said, if you think it won't get uncomfortable for Hoke should he go 0 for The Game vs Urban then you are fooling yourself. This year alone will have tremendous impact on the momentum in the rivalry.

BTN's Big 3 stated that they saw distinct separation between Ohio State and Michigan and the rest of the conference. Facilities and recruiting seemed to be their measure. Laugh if you want, but I think Hoke is bringing Michigan back and let us not forget that the 1969 Bucks headed up to AA following an undefeated season Rose Bowl/National Championship under their belt plus another 9 wins, only to get ambushed by a young coach.

Do I think Michigan's the better team? NO. Do I think they'll be at OSU's level by the end of this year? No.

But another year or two and it will be back to slugging it out, and in the meantime, they're dangerous.

How in the name of Woody can you compare that fat fuck to the young coach scUM had in 69?

All that talent got him 8-5 last year, including a curb-stomping at the hands of Alabama, losses to two of your three rivals, and a bowl loss.
