2013 Preseason and regular polls

Will be short lived. I don't think Baylor has the depth to run through Texas Tech, @Oklahoma St, @TCU, and Texas. They could very well go 2-2 from here.

Yeah, I saw they lost their best WR to a dislocated wrist.

Baylor looked good, but Oklahoma looked horrible. I do not know why they were ranked #10 (especially after being drubbed by Texas), and they should not be a top 25 team.

Love Stanford for beating Oregon last night, but how in the hell are they ranked in the top ten after losing to a (now) 4-4 Utah team less than a month ago?

I would have to think if it came down to picking tOSU with an undefeated Urban Meyer or Baylor to play in the BCS championship the polls would swing our way. TV ratings matter and nobody wants to see Baylor against Bama or FSU. I would venture to guess ratings from last night would back that up. Right now the polls don't matter.

I honestly don't think the B1G is down as much as all the talking heads say. The SEC is one team deep and other than Bama plays no defense. Now Bama may be the best team in CFB, but I'd be happy to take a shot at them this year. The PAC12 is 2.5 teams deep. The ACC has 2 teams, but I'd take the Bucks over either of them. The Big12 is a joke. That would leave the B1G somewhere between the 2nd or 4th best conference depending how you see the PAC and ACC. If you ranked the teams from each conference and matched them up 1-12 the only conference that I think would win more than they lose against the B1G is the SEC.

Why worry about Baylor? I have this funny feeling it's going to be Ohio State playing Baylor for the crystal...

I wouldn't lay any real money on it, but I've been thinking it for awhile now. Just seems like a "football gods" sort of decision.

I think tOSU has the tradition and coach to stay in front of 1 loss teams, but I don't think Baylor would be so lucky. I see a 1 loss Bama, Stanford, or Oregon getting in ahead of them.
