How are they going to compute the BCS rankings next week to know that MSU is ranked [x] spots lower, and then do the poll all over again? The polls on Sunday decide who goes. There's nothing after that. Unless you've come from the future, there is no way MSU's ranking in next week's polls has any affect on us.
And SOS in the computers is completely independent of the polls and binary - whether we beat them by 500 or 1.
