How are they going to compute the BCS rankings next week to know that MSU is ranked [x] spots lower, and then do the poll all over again? The polls on Sunday decide who goes. There's nothing after that. Unless you've come from the future, there is no way MSU's ranking in next week's polls has any affect on us.
And SOS in the computers is completely independent of the polls and binary - whether we beat them by 500 or 1.

MSU could be ranked 25 next week, and that same voter will be looking for an excuse such as that to downgrade Ohio State. If you don't see it, maybe you're blind, but the agenda is clear in this case.

If a voter drops MSU from 9th to 25th due to the Big Ten Championship game, that same person is going to drop Ohio State from #2 (which they probably arent there anyway on this person's ballot this week) to a lower rank.

The BCS is a circular argument. What I am saying that we need to hope that OSU wins big, and that MSU is penalized (and OSU by extension) too much by it. Just like that.

Oh and Buffalo winning the MAC championship would be a nice addition.

Agreed - going undefeated, as it always does, seems to work itself out. These shows and websites need the hits to survive and saying it's an easy 1-2 doesn't generate money. It is what it is, and as long as "it" is a B1G Title, so be it!
