Checking for fractions of seconds is less important than giving a team a free time out late. If Marquette has to go on the fly, who knows?
The problem is, even if they can't huddle they can still talk. It would be harder to police than it seems, kinda like that new rule the NFL passed yesterday.
Solution is simple... stop looking for time to add back on at the end of the game. Basketball got along just fine before they started doing that, and why should the lost fractions of seconds at the end of the game be treated any differently than the lost fractions at at any other point?
