2013-14 Ohio State Hockey Season

The TV schedule is greatly consolidated from previous seasons with the various conferences (CCHA, WCHA, etc.), but I noticed 5 B1G head-to-head games on NBCSN, a lot on BTN. some on FSN Regional and some on ESPNU.

I think this is the first time a Big Ten event (between two Big Ten schools) is on NBCSN, which caught my eye.

Just one more asset to work out when the Big Ten negotiates its television contracts starting in 2015 for 2017-18.

Fredo rolled 6-2 last night at The Schott. It looks like Gene Smith got his way, and we suck again.

As much as it pains me, losing two to Fredo (OH) carries no shame. Their program and coach are just too strong.

Losing to Bowling Green--an orphan program left standing after the conference shuffle and coming off a 15-21 season--does carry shame.

Then again, I'm sure that Gene was entirely justified in firing a coach who seemed to be breathing life back into the program for the insolence of daring to question the lack of attention and resources given to the hockey programs.
