2013-14 Ohio State Hockey Season

Bucks with a shootout win @tsun. Need to defend home ice against them on Sunday.
Good game by the Puck Bucks last night against meatchicken. Unfortunately, they will not have "home ice" advantage on Sunday because the game will have to be played in Nationwide Arena due to the wrestling tournament. Probably another reason why a smaller facility should have been built just for hockey but if we can beat them on Sunday it will move us up to the third slot in the B1G standings.

Just sayin': I think it would be nice if the Big 10 could get a few more schools to start an ice hockey program. Yeah, I realize that the costs (build/operate an ice rink, hockey equipment, salaries, hockey scholarships, other team expenses, and cost of additional women's sports scholarships to offset men's hockey scholarships, etc.) make it almost impossible.

Purdue really does not have much of anything if you look at their football and basketball team. Maybe they should try hockey. The same might be true of Indiana and Iowa.. Hell, throw in Nebraska also.

Just sayin': It might be a treat for both teams to actually play in an actual NHL facility. It would be interesting to see if there are more or less people in attendance than what the Schott gets. Any Ohio State student can easily get downtown via the COTA bus.
