One of the enormous drawbacks of so many networks/so many games to cover is the announcer pool is watered down to an unbearable level. At least 75% of these clowns that call games these days are total hacks who know no more about the game than your average messageboard poster. When a mimbo like Kirk Herbstreit, who has very little knowledge of the actual game has basically become the face of the sport, things have gotten really bad. Jesse Palmer is amongst the worst.

Russell is money again, knocking down a shot in the endzone. Rutgers is playing hard and driving though, pumped on the sidelines, Irish look like crap.

Wow, great call by Rutgers with the PA after they were stuffed twice at the goal line by the ND D, but the QB throws the pass low. It was a sure TD if he makes the pass. Rutgers makes the FG to tie the game.

Oh boy, Rutgers tries the flea flicker and throws towards Russell for another INT. They were doing well moving the ball, points off the board now.
