I'm not sure how many there are west of the Mississippi... I had never heard of Waffle House until I lived in Flobama, where they're as common as a 7/11.

They would have had to have driven their homes to Phoenix for the closest Awful House to LA.

I agree with this. And we are seeing a lot of these good coaches, that helped orchestrate these last 7-8 eight years, move on to other jobs. We'll see if that changes things...

I think it's also important to note that most of the rise of the SEC took place when FSU, Clemson, Da U, and A&M were really down.
The conference got a big time head start on recruiting and coaching talent and that got the engine going for all those titles.

With more regional competition given the ascendance of FSU, A&M and Clemson - I wonder if the league won't regress simply based on talent availability.

Yeah, in their "rivalry game" Texas holds a 76 to 35 advantage. Batting .315 looks good in baseball, but in football it's a sign you're owned by someone.
