Do these sunglasses make me look fat?

It's the placement of the adidas logo. They aren't flattering. Looks like they added 200 pounds to you.

Been saying it for months, but if Shane Morris is under any kind of pressure, he's awful. Just awful. You don't see that in the 7on7s. Most overrated quarterback since Anthony Morelli.

But if you compare him to Shoelace, he looks like Dan Marino...

Some stuff from conversations over the weekend and last night:

1) The biggest OL worries are at C and LG.
2) Worries at C are about slow play because of thinking too much.
3) Worries at LG are simply size/strength vs. Alabama front seven. Must step perfectly and finish.
4) Denard has four main reads pre-snap: run the play (run/pass), flip the direction (run), call quick routes (pass), and QB draw (run).
5) Regarding #4, it sounds simple and sounds like a video game, however, it's more reads than he's made before.
6) Regarding #4, the read option component becomes the speed option when direction is flipped.
7) WRs have been beat up in practice... simulating tight, tough man coverage.
8) They believe they have some matchup advantages -- I won't post here, sorry.
9) Mario Ojemudia will play.
10) Two guys that need to have perfect games -- Kovacs and Demens.
11) Regarding #10, this is because of the defensive scheme and reads they need to make.
12) Regarding #10, if they don't, it could get ugly.
13) Jerald Robinson has quietly had a nice fall camp.
14) Like it or not, I don't believe Toussaint would play if Michigan opened with EMU.
15) Regarding #14, there is confidence that if Michigan can beat Alabama, they can play for the title.
16) If Toussaint plays, Clark will too. Packaged deal. There is some logic here, but I'm not going to stir that pot.
17) You might see an occasional hurry up.
18) Jeremy Gallon was the unsung MVP of the fall. He did everything right. He will make plays.
19) I think we'll see Gardner a lot, but he won't start.
20) They expect Alabama to run a spy on Denard all game.
21) Regarding #20, they believe this will come for MLB, OLB, DE, and SS.
22) It's been said that Denard is more confident than he's ever been.
23) DR loved Rod and Magee, but he's really embraced Hoke and Borges.
24) Because the offense does not 100% rely on him, we'll see Denard make throws and reads he never has before.
25) From everything I'm hearing, I believe the closest "fit" for Denard is Charlie Ward. A scrambler that keeps the defense honest by completing easy passes.
These are providing me with much laughter and amusement this morning.

But this in particular is wonderful.

15) Regarding #14, there is confidence that if Michigan can beat Alabama, they can play for the title.
Clearly Hoke has no fucking clue what it takes to be a championship caliber team and he probably never will. Why would he? Because he sailed through a marshmallow soft schedule last season and beat the most consistently overrated team of the past two decades in the Sugar Bowl?

Nope, this guy is still the guy that barely went .500 at Ball State and San Diego State. He will be Lloyd Carr v. 2004-2007 with a lot more arrogance and stupidity thrown in... if they are lucky.

Shameless self promotion. I posted this last week:

Throw in the fact that Michigan has the most wins in CFB because of 63 games they played before Alabama was even a state, the result of the Civil War, red state - blue state, Big 10 V SEC, Denard for Heisman bull shit, all of which will be an integral part of the pre and post game hate fest. The Alabama band will consider doing Script Fuck Michigan.

A very unfortunate choice for an opening game. I anticipate an embarrassing loss for UM and the BIG. I fear the loss of Denard for the first half of the season. This will be a capital L

I've re-watched the Va Tech game twice. Someone clearly found a way to hold Denard to a couple of big runs, but the guy gets away with four hail Mary's and then the refs on the field and in the booth totally screw the gobblers.

I don't know what to make of Dennard. He's exceptionally quick for the first ten - twenty yards and there aren't very many players faster for the rest of the field. BUT he makes horrible decisions in throwing the ball. He was unbelievably lucky last year in terms of TDs to Ints. There is no doubt that he can score from anywhere on the field, but there's also no doubt that he's vulnerable.

Send cigars, Thanks, Cincibuck

I think they'll beat AFA mainly because AFA can't contain DR but their defense will struggle again because A) they aren't very good and B) they just physically got the fuck beat out of them and its going to linger.

Robinson obviously got beat up as well and if that shoulder happens to get hit just right at any point from here on out they are proper fucked. 2012 scUM without DR could still beat UMass and maybe Minny on their schedule but after that they'd be big under dog to coin flip at best.
