Not really. Sabino redshirted in 2010 (his true junior year) after playing in 2008 and 2009, and then he played last year. You have five to play four...doesn't matter when you have the redshirt year. Countess will have to use up his normal eligibility before he can get the medical redshirt.

Now, if you meant Countess' opportunity to redshirt this year was burnt the moment he stepped on the field, then you're right.

From Mich presser: CB Countess done for year, surgery soon. TE Moore stretched MCL, out this week, not torn. LT Lewan is fine, more of a bruise

Denard is fine, shoulder is fine, back got dinged up a little, sore but likened it to most guys after a contest.

Suspended Fitz & Clark back this week.

Yes, this is what I didn't do a good job of saying before. 5 to play 4, likely a candidate for medical waiver. Has to burn regular redshirt before getting the exception for the sixth to play four... which after one medical, I'm unclear if he could get another.
