2012 NBA Finals: Thunder vs Heat (OK to bet)

The point is: How can you dislike Westbrook for being a whiny punk, but root for Wade & LeBron. They are both worse than Westbrook when it comes to being a bitch, but it doesn't bother you when they do it?

Thank you for explaining my point to him. I thought it was implicit, but evidently not. Greenies heading your way.

Don't feed the troll...He's just looking for the atrention. Hey maybe he's got that disorder Jerry Sandusky's lawyers are arguing. You know the one that makes you an attention whore. The one that is more common in women?

It was just one game but I was surprised at a couple of things:

1. OKC struggled again in the first half to rotate on defense and close out on shooters. It killed them at times in the Spurs series. But just like that series, they got stronger as the game went on.

2. Why isn't Lebron guarding Durant in the 4th quarter? That is tactical incompetence to have your best defender (maybe the best in the whole league) guarding Thabo Sefalosha as your team is getting torched.

Each game will be different. The Thunder need to get a better start in Game 2. The Heat won't make the same mistakes in the 2nd half. The Thunder had to have Game 1 - so the win really changes nothing in this series. If the Heat take Game 2, they'll still have the advantage.

So my message to OKC would be: take nothing for granted. It was 1 game. You need to win 4. Prepare for some changes.

Agree with most of this.

I just love that no matter what adjustments Miami makes, OKC has the offensive firepower to make a 10-0 run at any time. Last night Miami had a few short spurts, but you knew at some point the OKC explosion was coming.

In many respects it reminded me of the Miami-Boston series. Boston was easily the better team for most of the series/games. But Miami had the ability to go on short runs that Boston had no answer for. Boston's half-court offense and transition game just weren't good enough.

In this series, Miami's half-court offense is way too inconsistent to count on, but OKC is even better in transition and more capable of offensive explosions. In every game I watch OKC play, I'm always waiting for that 12-0 run. It's no different when they play the Heat....

The only time I get a little on edge watching OKC is when they rely to much on Perkins. Perkins really has no business being on the court in this series. When Miami goes small, it should be an advantage for OKC by playing Ibaka/Collison at center with Durant at the 4. Miami cannot guard that.

the biggest part of last night is that OKC found out that Sefalosha can effectively guard lebron for periods of time. that gives okc so much lineup flexibility that miami doesn't have the ability to counter. miami tried going small and it worked for about 1.5 quarters, and even then, it relied on battier and chalmers shooting unsustainable %'s.

if lebron is already complaining about he and wade playing too many minutes one game into the series, they're in trouble. okc will keep running them ragged.

when was the last time Miami was outscored in transition.....let alone 24-4 or something like that. OKC made them look old last night. Spolestra is going to have to pull some serious coaching out of his ass to make this a series.

Miami's transition D has been suspect for awhile. Wade laying on the floor whining for calls doesn't help either.

you mean when he screamed in Battier's face and then slapped the ball away from him like a little b1tch? You're right, he never acts like an ass towards his opponent, and you see what you want to see..........

Go watch the play again. It looked more like Battier stuck his elbow/arm in Westbrooks face and that's why Westbrook punched the ball away. You do know they both got Double T's right? Battier didn't get his for just standing there......

Westbrook plays at a high energy level all game long. His antics are a result of that, I love the way he plays (when his shot is falling!).

Everyone's favorite Gregg Doyel recently said everyone needs to forgive LeBron, and is now firmly attached to his Johnson...so naturally he needed someone else to blame, and he found them....

Hate to agree with Gregguh, but he is right on the money is assessing what D-Whistle has turned into.

He is absolute trash now. Can't get to the hoop. Can't shoot. Can't defend. Can't pass. Can't get any respect from the defense. No one buys his shit pump-fakes anymore. He had a few good games against the Pacers (unfortunately for me), but it's been LeBron carrying the team for the majority of the playoffs. Wade is broken.
