One of the more exciting players in Northeast Ohio is Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary senior athlete Sae'Von Fitzgerald, and the two-way performer has helped his team get off to a 5-0 start. Fitzgerald starred on both sides of the ball in last week's 17-14 win over Akron Hoban.

6-foot-4, 225-pound wide receiver / linebacker prospect De'Shawn Dowdy (Akron, Ohio/North) has committed to play for Maryland, Scout.com reports. He officially visited the Terps for the weekend of October 28th.

Rivals.com has reported that defensive end Grayson Fisher (Upper Arlington, Ohio) is on board with Princeton. Bucknell, Cornell and Darmouth also offered the 6-foot-4, 230-pound senior.

Columbus DeSales DT Alex Washington has been offered by Navy and Air Force.

Marion-Franklin DT Terrell Jackson has committed to Duke over offers from Bowling Green, Miami (OH), Akron, Ohio, Ball State, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Kent State, Northern Illinois and Toledo.

Akron North ATH DeShawn Dowdy, who was originally committed to Maryland, has committed to Cincinnati. He also had offers from Iowa State, Miami (OH), Pitt, WVU, Akron, Kent State and Western Michigan.
