i work in fire safety. Jet fuel is nothing to fuck with. Im very surprised they got it out that fast. The purple shit you saw them spraying, was not close to to the proper chem agent you need. but the got it out. I really thought that whole truck was gonna go up. Good thing for diesel too. no explosion.

That was in a high traffic area on the track right? I'd assume most of the damage was done right where the truck was sitting and that isn't a high traffic spot right?

What a disaster for NASCAR. They get their biggest race of the year pushed to Monday. Then they're fortunate to have it land primetime. And now this [Mark May] will end the race with Dave Blaney as the Daytona 500 Champion because he won a pitrace that didn't seem all that important at the time.

The current events of this disaster might actually give them better ratings. I know a handful of people who are watching who would not have been if there weren't a fiery crash involving jet fuel.
