Sorry, I still recognize GoldenEye as the 'classic' FPS shooter.

Halo 2 had dual wield in 04' - well, I had that in 1998.

The only thing XboX brought to the table was the LAN capabilities.
If Nintendo hadn't put their heads up their ass around that time, things
would probably be a lot different for that company.

Can't wait for GoldenEye.

That's you're IMO.

Not really. Pre-dates Halo by what? - Nearly 4 years.

4 person single console multi player for the N64.

Like I said - had Nintendo re-ported/skinned Goldeneye and given the Cube LAN capabilities comparable to the original Xbox. Halo probably wouldn't have been as big.

A "Halo Party" made that game. Then the emergence of internet for the consoles.

All of this is even more irrelevant - I had Doom and Counterstrike with online play in 97'. If a damn tower wasn't such a bitch to pack up and move (along with the gianormous CRT's back then) you would have heard the term "Counter Strike party".

The Xbox simply streamlined and simplified. It wasn't the game. It was the environment it brought.

It was a joke, but apparently not good enough.

You said "FPS shooter", which is like saying "first-person shooter shooter".

Hence, "that's you're IMO."

Ok. I'm gonna take a small leave from posting - because apparently I'm having trouble with reading and comprehension of late.

Again, I blame work.
