How can Duke be #1 in the coaches poll and receive the overwhelming majority of first place votes, and then be #5 in the AP poll with no first place votes?

Duke is #1 in the AP also. The Buckeyes are #2.

1. Duke (35 1st place)
2. tOSU (10 1st place)
3. Kansas (5 1st place
4. Pitt (12 1st place)
5. Texas 1 1st place)

I don't imagine that's happened too often before.

It is pretty much feast or famine in this conference this year. The top 3 are darn good. Then you got a lot of really mediocre teams that seemingly are going nowhere.
