my thinking is that if there were a change in uniforms style, then the bruisers would be too self-conscious to participate. the quality of play may take a dive, but we're talking about curling here.

NBC's announcers were talking about Lindsey Vonn's skis and she uses a longer/mens ski. They said it's more smooth, kinda like the difference in wheelbases of a car. For example a SUV is going to be more smooth than a VW Bettle................. WTF?

I've been part of your minority for as long as I can remember. I guess going back to The Miracle on Ice. To begin with, I prefer winter as a season over summer. But I'm with you on the events. Skiing down the side of an icy mountain at highway like speed is crazy, and it makes my heart race when I watch. And the only thing better than Stanley Cup Playoff Hockey is Olympic Hockey. The open ice and collection of the world's best playing for their country is unbelievable.
