So,.........your telling us, that you tried something different than the mule most of you UM guys are into:biggrin:

What can I say, I have an open mind. I live in Tennessee now, so I mostly put up with Tennessee Vol and VaTech fans. Every now and then I'll see a buckeye. Give each other the finger and what not. I must say, I do like these southern belles.

I wonder what kind of effect all this pub on Denard will have on recruiting. You would think it would help land some big RB prospects.

I would also think any big time defensive back would see the immediate starting possibilities and want to come too.

Why would this help to recruit RBs? Are you referring that the non-existent RB performance so far? I mean, even if the performance from RB has failed to be anything but awful, you guys are stacked pretty deep there (albeit with tiny guys who average 2.4 YPC).

We might nab D.Hart who is one of the best running backs in the country and might be the best all purpose back. Iron said it when we are stacked with rbs on the roster and they will be around for a few years unless some of them transfer. However, with a talent like D.Hart, you can make room for him.

Does he like to ride the bike?

I guess I don't follow your logic. If I were a big time RB prospect, I'd be turned off by a coach like Rodriguez who gives his QB 25-30 carries per game.

I think what Mike is saying is that a top RB recruit can see that they are in dire need of a running back and need one pronto. Early playing time is always a consideration for a top recruit.

because after two games it still appears that we're looking for that "steve slaton" type 1-2 punch to compliment DR. I thought Fitzy would be the one, but he can't get healthy. I still have high hopes for Vincent Smith though. I think these next two games will give some other guys a chance to get in some work.

Better hope so because running Denard 25-30 times the first two games seems to indicate that the staff isn't comfortable with anybody else. If they can't decide on somebody before the B10 schedule hits, Denard better invest in some insurance.
