2010 TSUN arguments & shenanigans (in-season)

Having played against both of them, Buckeye fans are very knowledgable about both.

Vandenberg played the game of his life against Ohio State and we had to hit a game-winning field goal in OT to win.

Tate turned the ball over 5 times against Ohio State.

It's a no-brainer for this fan base. V-berg's mom is the cherry on top.
You don't place value based on one game for either player. I'd take tater over vandenberg based on body of work.

but I'd be very interested in seeing what Vanderberg could do instead of Stanzi. He'd probably have his struggles, but Stanzi can be a bit of a liability.

After a day of watching Big Ten Football

Big, Burley, Basic football -- is soooooo boring. I don't care if it's MSU or Wisconsin or Iowa or OSU ... it's so damn boring.

It's why I hope Rich succeeds ... after watching Oregon I just can hardly watch the boring stuff ... I mean, I watch it, but I fell asleep several times today. Several.

Of course, I distained from Day-one the dirty-inside-pool that I knew RR was-n-is up against, and I've certainly spent enough time railing against that to choke a horse ... but the "enemy" there is "unfairness" -- it has nothing to do with RR per say ... just the shame I felt people connected with my alma mater acting like a mafioso clan, etc.

As far as Rich-himself goes -- he's nice to the press and that's been nice ... but, mainly, it's that the spread is so damn exciting when it is played well.

We'll of course know over these next few weeks now if this is going to work out ... but I, for one, hope it does.

I felt like I had sleeping sickness today.

Apparently to mr. beaver, losing pretty is better than "winning ugly". I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love what dickrod has done for standards up there.

To expound a bit on the bolded portion of this brilliant post, what criticism is exactly "unfair"? The man has led a once proud program that competed for B10 titles on a yearly basis to a 4-15 conference record. In what world does that not warrant some criticism...or at least questions? Good grief. Also, what exactly is "distain"? Must be that great scUM edumacashun.

I like how he said OSU, Bucky, MSU, and Iowa are boring when his beloved wassels will end losing to all of these teams. I will trade tv ratings for Big Ten titles anyday.
He's all schtick. If scUM's strengths were reversed, he'd be preaching the beauty of a stout defense. The guy is the biggest joke on scout.

You're beginning to see more replies like this one as a growing number of fans see through beaver's bullshit:

Re: 1997 must have been hell for you

Hilarious post title.

I love this site's information, but I certainly don't come here for the great football minds.

Actually I believe the connection to the information is what is fueling the propaganda...Much easier for the staff to want to give Tom and Sam inside info if they are constantly spinning for their camp. I get it, I mean I do, it dollars and sense, but even understanding that I don't see why the need to attack fans for their 'nerve' to be unhappy about Rodriguez.

I'll also add that the great Oregon offense(which I like by the way) was stuffed last year by OSU. So don't think for one minute that they can't be beat.
So then why reply?

Since you did though...key part in your statement is in red. Masoli is gone and that kid they have now looks better to me! Guess we won't know until they play if they play!
There's a growing contingent on gbw that is beginning to see beaver for what he is: clown shoes. Like the poster says, it's understandable that beaver and sam would be partial to that staff as the flow of information is obviously much greater than the previous regime, but to be such obvious shills and to flatly dismiss any and all critical posters simply as "haters" hurts the overall credibility...of which they now have very little outside of the baying "all in" crowd that just want their dose of sunshine.

If the tOSU insiders were firing off posts like his if JT was in the midst of a 4-15 conference run, I'd cancel my subscription out of sheer embarrassment. Nevada may show some homeristic tendencies, but he's not above pointing out flaws and offering up criticism when warranted. I also think Bill Greene is one of the most informative, balanced employees on the scout payroll. He is not afraid to criticize...even when the team is 7-1, let alone if they were a B10 doormat. That's the difference that brings real credibility. Beaver is a comedy act. Every scUM shortcoming is somebody else's fault. Nothing ever falls on their coaches...literally never. Not one single thing in nearly three years. There's zero integrity in that. Maybe it helps some of them feel better about the mess they've gotten themselves into, but I would much rather have the real dirt than a bunch of "happy little clouds" painted for me after every debacle.

Clearly, your constitution is weak on "distaining" and on "per saying". I am starting to think that you may not be "all in" or "holding the rope". What does it matter if TSUN wins, so long as "the spread" is so exciting against the OOC schedule? Let me guess, when it comes to Beaver, you don't share in the excitement of the spread?

Well, I guess that just about says it all for me. I'm going back to spotting the rope. HMMFFF!

Can't speak for NF here, but I always get excited when it comes to beaver and the excitement of the spread..........

Wait, this isn't the Romper Room? You were talking about Tom Beaver and RR's Spread offense? My bad....Carry on.

Yep, but it goes deeper than that. Webb and Beaver know their site is going to take a hit business wise if Rich Rod gets fired because Singeltary and Fred Jackson are their only sources of "inside info" left. If Rich Rod gets fired neither of them will be back and that is mainly why you see much Rich Rod d**k riding over their.

Remember when those clowns said, "have fun with Oregon in the Rose Bowl, because that's what our offense will look like for the next few years?" I sure do, and I hope it's true.

Well to be fair, they do both have god awful ugly uniforms featuring piss as the dominant color.
