The above details the commitment of a Nick Marshall. A 3/4 star recruit who is a running QB that runs the option for his HS in Middle Georgia.

Rather than commit to Paul Johnson and his option shenanigans at Tech (where it was rumored he was a silent commit for months). He chose to come to UGA and switch positions with a new defensive coordinator. He'll now play DB and will play hoops as well for Coach Fox.

A reminder that Tech sucks balls and Paul Johnson is quickly becoming an underwhelming recruiter. Thus far he's won with Chan's boys.

He was all the rage during last football season. He will be okay this year with Peoples in the backfield and with Nesbitt still their QB. I don't expect them to ever have a dominant recruiting class but they'll do just fine in the ACC with their system with classes ranked from 24-45.

So half a National Championship 25 years ago is better than a whole one 30 years ago? Not sure I agree. That gives TSUN way too much credit.

He shares a special kinship with that Tech team of 1990. Both Tech and LSU lost coaches that bolted to the Pro's for greener pastures following their national championship seasons (in Saban's case - it was a year later).

Well, to be fair, Coach Chan sure could recruit Beijing and Shanghai...and he sure liked to run the slant route.
