Game Thread 2010 Rose Bowl: Ohio State 26 Oregon 17 (Final, 1/01/2010)

Well leave it to Fox to be wrong. Ohio State isn't ranked ahead of Oregon in the BCS. So Oregon is the home team for the Rose Bowl. But i'm sure as others have said, it'd up to Nike. I say we wear the exact jerseys we wore during the 1997 Rose Bowl. Or our current ones...anything else and that's bullshit.

Hell, they'll (Oregon) probably wear scarlet and gray just to confuse us.

Apologies if this already got linked somewhere, but I found this article interesting (scroll down to December 4): Smart Football

"During last night?s Oregon victory over Oregon State, the announcers mentioned that Chip Kelly?s squad will vary their zone read by reading defenders besides the backside defensive end ? namely, the defensive tackle or ?three technique? player.
In the ?normal? zone read, the line zone blocks one way while the quarterback reads the backside defender . . ."

After buying a NC t-shirt at Nike Town on Michigan Avenue prior to the Debacle in the Desert....NEVER AGAIN.

Ah but I bought sweatshirts for me and my Godsons in 97 and again in 02. The 07 and 08 logos sucked so I didn't buy anything.

You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows -- or maybe you do.

I just feel bad that our quality young men have to share a field with such a thug like legarrett 'phillie' blount

Given the negative national attention he's directed at himself and the program - I feel confident he's going to behave like a perfect gentlemen on the field.

If you think he should have been kicked off the team because of his actions - that's a legitimate point. But OU seems like he's earned a second chance so why not give it to him?

First time in a while that I'm not jittery about this defense going into a bowl. No issues on the DL. No issues at LB. No problems at corner. No worries at safety. That's a huge contrast to prior years when we had to throw newbie safeties into the NC game, had huge issues tackling on the outside, had problems stopping the run up the gut...

Let me just say this, I would be very surprised if Oregon can replicate their success in the run game against the likes of Heyward, Larimore, Gibson, Homan, Rolle, Hines and Coleman.
