Game Thread 2010 Rose Bowl: Ohio State 26 Oregon 17 (Final, 1/01/2010)

I liked Orgon's uniforms in the 90s. The ones tonight weren't too bad
I guess they weren't bad compared to their normal crap...but they still looked like puke.

I think they should stick with their white helmets with a green O. And then a green top with white pants for home, and all white for away. That's their best look. Get rid of most of the yellow, if not all of it.

I am so exceited for this game for many reasons. None more however than to see Brutus destroy Donald Duck. Obviously Brutus will do better than the last mascot...

And Stanford put 50 on them, and I firmly believe that if we re-played the game in Columbus next week, we'd beat them by two scores.

Their defense got beaten and beaten up as the season progressed.

Not that it takes away from the Ducks' offense; I just don't think that Oregon's team philosophy of "what the hell, let's just try to outscore them" will be all that successful against our running game and defense. They're a team that Tresselball was built to beat.
Also...doesn't seem like Tressel plays Tresselball in bowl games. It seems like we always seem a very different offense in bowl games. Agree? I wouldn't be surprised if we got pass happy. Call me crazy. Not what I want to see. I just want to see whatever gets us the win. But it does seem that in bowl games, Tressel really opens up the offense a lot.

I also recall going for it on 4th downs and such when during the regular season he wouldn't go for it. But maybe Tressel's theory on this is that it's the last game of the year, so you just go balls out?

Could you please wear normal greens for once?

Not flat black, raiders silver, or maize. Green.

Would love to see Oregon break out the Pre-2000 uni's once more.

Love to see them class it up to. Particularly since we will most definitely be wearing old school classy uniforms. That being said, if UO does class it up, I expect Nike's reaction to be along the following lines....

the O at midfield is not curved like that. It has a substantial straight edge on the outside and inside. Seems like at least 3 O's. It's closer to this, but more pronounced

You can kind of see it here, notice the parallel yellow edge compared to the white line

Also, are the wall graphics (which I think are solid for a trendy splash program) always teal colored?

Looking at the stats, if you give the Bucks the extra points that the Ducks defensive average allows, and you reduce the average Ducks points by the average score given up by the Buckeyes, you are about at a dead heat.

Given that a good defensive team will beat a good offensive team, all things being equal, I have to say that I think you take these guys, and that huge portions of the nation will be amazed to see it. Makes no sense, but I'd guess that the Ducks will be favored.

Never noticed that but I think that's just the font so I wouldn't really consider it a separate O. BTW, here's a better shot. http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/100031.jpg Image too big to post directly.

The wall graphics have always looked dark green to me not teal but I don't have great eyesight either.
