2010 polls - Pre-season and regular

The problem with Ohio State is purely SOS. Our opponents have a combined 35-40 record so far, only 4 of 8 have winning records. Look, it's not as weak as the Boise State schedule so far (24-34, 3 of 7 have winning records). But, we did just play the Eastern Michigan of the Big Ten this year.

So, what's the surprise about the lack of respect?

Ohio State's SOS will now increase. Perhaps not enough to increase the BCS as much as folks here want, but it will get better from here on out. Let's hope that Ohio State wins out and finds a way into a BCS bowl.

Unfortunately, that's true.

The only team we've played in our first 9 games who is still ranked in the top 25 is Wisconsin, and they beat us by 13 points.

Fortunately, the season isn't over, yet.

Now that you made me think about it Sloopy, this sets up more like SOS and the cocks prevent us from going to the SECCG.....like the asshole did in 2005.

SOS shouldn't matter, should it? I thought it was beat Cocky and you're in the CCG.

Then Urban and crew can play the 4th stringers the rest of the regular season to rest up for Auburn.

I'm almost looking forward to seeing a 5-loss SEC East team in the Sugar bowl.

Yeah, I was talking two wins to get to New Orleans, Cocky and the west division rep.

Nope. Need to put seventh straight loss on half-ass u. That is a priority also.

Puts Ohio State about 1 place below Wisconsin and half a place below LSU on an average ballot. Ohio State is going to need to win big with style points in all three games, and need Wisconsin to be much less impressive, I think, to overcome Wisconsin.

Ohio State stays #8 in the AP poll, getting jumped by LSU into #5 and Stanford into #7.
