2010 polls - Pre-season and regular

Man, I hate to dump on Florida, but they are objectively overrated. If Jeff Demps ever forgets his cape, that team is in a lot of trouble. Once you get into conference play, things might not be so rosy.

I think we [strike]will be fine[/strike] may be screwed. Figuring out a new offense. Getting o-line players back. Will Hill not playing. Rainey out with a [strike]concussion[/strike] with a case of the po-lice throwing felonies at him for no damn reason. We emptied the freshman class and got about all of them in the game. And if something is having problems, I'd rather it be the offense than the defense. The D will bail us out of a few stinky games I think. We'll see in Knoxville. Before their depth problems surfaced, the vols-in-tears did OK defensively with the quackers. If UF can't score on the vols, then we will be having a rough intro to the year. I see us dropping one (or a few) as we get it together - and being a team you do not want to face in the second half of the season. We get by the Cocks and Mutts and who knows? - we might get a chance to play for the SECC in December, and if we have nothing to lose, we could put up a game that could get us back to [strike]New Orleans (even if we lose a close one to an undefeated Bama)[/strike] losing to Iowa in Orlando or Tampa.

I think it's possible to agree with the Colonel and still predict UF for the Sugar which I do. I think Urban will get his troops together, but right now they're not.

Yeah, I'm thinking that UF puts together a 10 win season and lands in the Sugar Bowl. The only team that looks competent enough to challenge them in the SEC East is SAKERLINA...which...yeah. If SAKERLINA wins the SEC East, it will be solely because of Marcus Lattimore and completely in spite of putting Stephen Garcia under center.

That prediction notwithstanding, UF doesn't look like an elite team right now (especially because Rainey is potentially going to jail and probably off the team).

The plot thickens.....

Sister of ex-girlfriend called cops, not ex, and she (ex gf) reportedly did not want him arrested and says she did not feel she was in any danger. I guess I do not know if Florida law makes the threat objective, based upon the language of the threat, or subjective, based upon the relationship, totality of facts, and more importantly the alleged victim's state of mind. If the latter, then I doubt the charges will stick. In any event, as long as a felony is charged there is no other possible result but suspension from the team until it is sorted out.

Has this been posted?

Voter Report: Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf of the LA Times has OSU at #7, with Texas at #1 and Florida at #3. That is the lowest OSU is on anyone's ballet and the highest Texas is. He also has Wisconsin ranked lower than anyone else at #22.

You would think that means he doesn't think much of the Canes but he still has them at #13...

Rainey 'no longer with team' according to Addazio

Given corch meyers known stance on violencing females, this should come as no surprise.

It's disturbing how much fans know of these kid's legal matters. It really is.

I watched a little. Basketball on grass offense as usual. I think their D is still suspect. That James is a shifty little speedster; I guess against pac10 defenses it doesn't matter if you weigh 145 lbs.

James is a badass. He breaks numerous tackles including a couple in the Rose Bowl.
