Ohio DB favors ACC school
Safety Aaron Morris (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville) has seen his scholarship offer list grow to half a dozen. Morris has offers from Maryland, Illinois, Syracuse, Ball State, Toledo and Ohio University.

"The top three I'm looking at are Maryland, Illinois and Ball State," Morris said. "Maryland is my favorite. Their coaching staff is real nice. I have a lot of family down there. They say a lot of good things about the school."

The 6-0, 195-pounder is playing mostly linebacker during his senior season, however, he played safety and had three interceptions his junior season. He is being recruited to play that position in college.

Boardman WR Making Big Waves | Ohio State Buckeyes College Football Recruiting, OSU Big Ten Football, OSU Basketball – Bucknuts.com

With Tyrone Williams from Shaw High school the prize WR of the 2010 class and the likes of DJ Williamson (Warren Harding) and Gerald Robinson (Canton South) off the board and headed to Michigan, who is the best WR left in the class of 2010? Bobby Swigert from Louisville? Jimmy Hall from Sylvania Southview? Sam Miller from Orrville? Tim O'Conner from Cincinnati Elder?

How about Chase Hammond from Boardman High School? Hammond is a 6-5, 210 pound WR that missed all of his junior year due to injury and has burst onto the scene in 2009. I just broke down a few game films of Hammond and he is shooting up the Ohio High prospect rankings in a hurry, and should be grabbing some major D-I attention to say the least.

Hammond has the size of a Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, or Tyrone Williams, and now with film available on him you can see he has the speed to go with it. The part that impressed me the most was his catching ability. You can see Hammond on film pluck the ball from the air with ease and even make an impressive one handed grab. If you put all of that together, we are talking about a major D-I prospect.

As of this moment Chase Hammond only has an offer from the Air Force Academy. If you look at Tyrone Williams from Shaw and then Chase Hammond from Boardman, they are almost identical on film. The question is will Chase Hammond land the same offers as Tyrone Williams?

I'm pretty sure Tim O'Conner has already committed to Indiana.
