I have watched alot of the games this year for Ohio State and i didn't see many teams throwing a full court press or a half court press against them. If they did i
must have not been paying attention. That is one of my concerns for the team. I still would like to see more of Lauderdale in the mix as we head into the NCAA brackets. If any of you saw any kind of pressure full court against
the Buckeyes - please inform me. Thanks.

The team that I remember trying to press the most was Florida in the second half. tOSU handled that press very well and got several easy scores. To me that was Aaron Craft's breakout game.

Thank you all for clearing this up for me. I had to work the night of the Florida game and was stunned to learn of the beat down we game them.
But what alot of you described on how they handled what ever type of
press was thrown to them may have told other teams that the Buckeyes
can break the press especially with Craft coming up the floor with the ball.
Like one of you said it may have been Craft's coming out party. I really expect to see a differnent brand of execution coming from the Buckeyes.
Nothing real spectacular but maybe some different wrinkles thrown in the next couple of weeks.

Men's basketball: Buckeyes full of promise to deliver elusive national title
Elusive title in reach for OSU team that's consistently good, experienced
Tuesday, March 15, 2011
By Bob Baptist
THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Is this the year?

Ohio State fans have been asking that since before this season began in November with their team ranked No.4 in the Associated Press men's basketball poll.

Optimism rose as the Buckeyes, blessed with an enviable unselfishness and camaraderie, won their first 24 games and moved to No.1 for the first time since 2007.

They wonder still, as the dream draws closer and the Buckeyes take the No.1 overall seed into the NCAA Tournament this week.

Is this the year?

Is this the year that Ohio State not only reaches the Final Four but also takes it a step further than four years ago in Atlanta, when the Buckeyes lost the title game to Florida?

Is this the year the Buckeyes win the NCAA title for the first time since 1960, and only the second time ever?

"I think Ohio State is the best team," ESPN analyst Jay Bilas said last week.

But not unbeatable, as Wisconsin and Purdue proved in a span of eight days last month.

Bilas puts Kansas next in line behind the Buckeyes.

"After that, I think there are seven or eight teams that are capable of beating anybody but haven't done it as consistently," he said.

"I think the separating factor for Ohio State is they've been high-level consistent. That's not been the case for the majority of the teams. Some of that inconsistency over a three-week period in the NCAA Tournament is going to be the difference in catching up with some of these other teams."

Your point is well taken, but where are you getting the margin of victory for the "second-worst" loss of the season? I know Florida lost one or more games by more than 2, hell they lost by 16 to Kentucky last week. Also, Illinois definitely lost by more than one numerous times.

My guess is that when he says Florida (18, 2) he means we're the biggest defeat they have by two points, ie, Florida's second largest defeat was by 16 points. Likewise, Oakland's (25, 5) second-biggest defeat would be 20 points.

That's a good guess, because he defined the second # as such, rather than simply saying it was the opponent's second worst margin of defeat.

Admittedly, it took me a closer read to determine that, since I was expecting the second number to be the 20, rather than the 5, using your example.
