2010-11 bowl projections

The Sugar and Orange Bowls would both grab tOSU if they get the chance. The Orange won't get the chance, since the Sugar picks first.

I would love for Ohio State to get the OB bid, but I know it is a long shot. Would be nice to tailgate for a Buckeye game down here once.

Edit: Yes, I know they will be down here next season, but that is just too far away, damn it!!

Ohio State has a chance to break the three way tie for most BCS bowl wins, as USC and Florida will not be playing in one this season. We all have 5, after USC was stripped of one of their wins (thanks to Reggie Bush).

FYI...some genius decided to schedule a bunch of Big Ten Bowls this season at basically the same time. Jan.1: Dallas-Noon, Outback-1:00, Cap One-1:00, and Gator-1:30. How dumb is that?

The NFL owns Sunday and Monday is going to be back-to-work day for most people. Still, there's a wide open week before Jan 1. They could have put a major bowl on each of those nights.

Us passing Bucky is not going to happen.

Unfortunately, the only bowl games the BigTen* might win this year are the BCS games.

Michigan State, Iowa and Penn State are most likely getting paired up with SEC teams that will over-match them and Illinois and Northwestern and tSUN are just bad teams. So hopefully I'm wrong, but this bowl season looks like it's going to be up to Ohio State, Wisconsin and *Nebraska to make a good impression for future reputation's sake.

don't think so, let's see, 10 spots

6 Auto's
1 Non Aq
3 At large

1 will go to Stanford if they do indeed finish in the top 4, so at leaves 2 left, presumably they will go to 2nd SEC and Ohio State

That makes sense....now would that effect when we get picked. Does Stanford have to be picked up before we do? Pushing us to the Orange instead of an Arky tOSU match up it would be Arky vs Stanford??? What a clash of cultures. Stanfords 10 fans would be really uncomfortable if thats the case.

I'm pretty sure that the bowls picking order still applies here, so the Sugar still gets first pick. It just so happens that if Stanford is #4 the last team with an at-large pick has to take them if they haven't already been selected. The way it stands I'm going to guess that the Sugar takes Ohio State no matter who the SEC representative is and the Orange would be crazy to take Stanford seeing as they're not going to travel completely across the country to see their team play in Miami. That leaves the Fiesta to pick up Stanford to play (most likely) Oklahoma in a re-match of last year's Sun Bowl.

Title: Oregon v. Auburn

Rose: Wisconsin v. TCU
Sugar: Arkansas v. Ohio State
Fiesta: Oklahoma v. Stanford
Orange: Virginia Tech v. Connecticut

I actually really like these matchups.

No. The Sugar Bowl gets their choice of at-large teams. Stanford can't sell out a home game when they're a top 10 team. Ohio State gets the Sugar Bowl bid in a landslide.

Here's a huge WTF -- Boise losses to Nevada and drops nary a slot. While the bucks take it in the ear for beating Iowa and Michigan.

Clearly the medical marijuana program has gotten out of hand in AP land.

2 Auburn (13) 12-0 1,430 2
3 Boise State (10) 10-1 1,394 3

That has to still be last week's with new records in it...no way LSU stays #6 and Iowa stays ranked after losing to Minne-fucking-sota, for example.
