Sparty-Bama will be better than some BCS bowls. I think NU could win with Persa, but without him it's going to be tough. scUM might have a shot with their offense...maybe. I don't like PoSU's chances versus the Gators. Wiscy should pound TCU, and our Buckeyes will have a battle on their hands with the Hogs.

A much tougher bowl season than last year for Big Ten teams. I live down south, and Mississippi St. is a legitimate team.........they will kill scUM. I was very optimistic last year about the Big Ten's chances, but this year the match ups don't look good at all. I look at that schedule and see 1 definite win (Wisky v. TCU), a few possibles, and few no way in hell.

Tough match ups.

It's a shame. Nebraska will curb stomp the Huskies again. (even with Martinez at QB)

Just an incredibly subpar year. It's been said a million times, but there's too many damn bowl games...and how does a 3-5 in the B10 scUM team end up playing on New Years Day? Remember when only the best teams were rewarded with a NYD bowl? Ugh.

scUM will get their ass handed to them for their trouble...lol. Miss. St. has a shitty offense, but their D is as good as anyone's in the country. scUM's defense is so bad that Miss. St. will still score at least 31 on them, and their D will keep scUM's O below 20. Rich Rod better have his resume up to date

makes you wonder what led to the insight bowl committee choosing a mizzou vs. iowa game over nebraska vs. iowa. while nebraska will face iowa during conference play next year, this is a natural rivalry game that hasn't been contested in a decade. i would not be surprised if -- no, i fully expect that -- the big 12 officials begged the insight bowl committee to pass on nebraska, thus guaranteeing a horrible rematch of nebraska vs. washington.

My absolute favorite quote by Jim Tressel on the selection of the Buckeyes by the Sugar Bowl:

"The Buckeyes are excited to be going to the Sugar Bowl," coach Jim Tressel, who has taken Ohio State to a bowl game in each of his 10 seasons including eight BCS games, said. "The things I remember the most about the Sugar Bowl are the people [of New Orleans] and how excited they are to host the game, and the great pride they have in their city and in the history of the Sugar Bowl. When you think of the games that have been played in the Sugar Bowl, it's neat to be a part of this long history."


Lol, you can replace "Sugar Bowl" with just about any Bowl game. Senator Tressel indeed. :lol:
