2009 Under Armour All-America Game - Jan. 4th

I still stand by what I said. Any time a kid that athletic plays QB and has an arm, there is limitless potential. Whether or not he develops is another story, but the potential is there.

Like I said though, give me Pryor because he's a pass first guy.

EDIT: You weren't even responding to me.

And you should still stand by it. I agree that the kid will be good and what you said is very valid... I just think the talk that he is on the same level as Pryor (and the story was printed after everyone saw Pryor still looking like a man amoung boys in his first year of college) was "reaching for hype". The kid will be good, could be FANTASTIC and for all I know could be better than Pryor, but I haven't seen anything from him yet, even comparing HS film, that would suggest that Shep is on the same level as Pryor.

In terms of quality programming I think UA is still far far off from Army AA game.

Stadium half-full, going for a MTV hafltime show, ridiculous licve commitments, and not even close to offering the sense of honor and "giving back" that Army game provides to these kids... Not saying UA can't get there, but IMO there is no comparison yet...

btw - big Luda fan here...but the whole game has been kinda off...not feeling it

just my 2 cents...

I was just about to say the same thing...except more concise.

this game [removed naughty word].

Well from what I can tell Russel does not come close to Pryor in his accuracy. I think Terrelle is heads and shoulders more dangerous than Russell but I guess time will tell?

Russell looks small out there, and for a little less speed Pryor is about 30 pounds heavier and 4 inches taller.

haven't seen corey make a lot of noise. that chissan (sp?) kid is a beast; OU is getting a good one. with my untrained eyes, carter seems to be in the right place most of the time, but the qbs couldn't get the ball into the right space.

Wow...

I'm agreeing with Tuberville- it's the QB's responsibility to not stare down the WR.

Oh, and on that earlier pass? The WR didn't bend the route because it allowed him to stay away from the Safety. If Duron comes more toward the middle, we might have another open scholly. It's the QB's responsibility to hit the open frickin reciever.

Couple observations:

- Luginbill is not a color guy. I've never heard one color call the announcer by his first and last name (Dave Ryan) more than today. Just think if it was Brent Musburger.

- Not on the scroll, but when an uncommitted player's name graphic is shown, SEC teams are always first (i.e. Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Penn State, Notre Dame, Maryland). This is regardless if the player has a leader in another conference.

...Back to you Dave Ryan. That was a great catch Dave Ryan. I think it was pass interference, Dave Ryan.
