2009 Under Armour All-America Game - Jan. 4th

I realize that they're competitors, but one thing I do not like is how Scouts Inc. and ESPN completely ignore the U.S. Army game and fail to mention anything regarding Bryce Brown and Tajh Boyd being named MVP. Not even a news update.

Why would they update us on that when it happened yesterday? Maybe last night's sportscenter but not another all-star game.

Also funny how the directly avoided mentioning that Bostic and Xavier Nixon committed at the Army game by saying they "committed over the weekend". Pathetic.

ESPN is not about sports, and hasn't been for a long time.

ESPN is about business and "brand". It's why there's so much hater-ade for the Big T1e1n- the conference has a competitor network.

My humble opinion of the week...

Despite that fumble on that hit, I'm still happy with Berry tonight, when he had a touch he went up upfield with it. Wish they had more dump offs to him on the pass, as that is something where I feel he is a hidden weapon.

Based on what ive heard about Fragel, I hope he's more than just a Ballard clone.. Am I missing something? Jake seems like an average blocking TE. He doesnt have good speed, his hands are okay, and he's a solid blocker. I would think Fragel has more upside than Ballard

Are you missing something?
Apparently, you are missing anything that Jake Ballard does.
Great hands - very athletic for a guy his size.
Re-watch the scUM game if you think he's only an average blocker.

Is Ballard a Winslow or a Beckum? No, he doesn't stretch the field like those guys, but they can't block like Ballard can, either.
Is Ballard an under-utilized tight end? I would say "yes".
