But Luginbill coached in the XFL, where real football is played. :)

And they have the best coin toss ever. Where players can tear their ACL's.

I think Pryor has a much better shot at reaching that upside, but it's tough to deny that Shepard also has tremendous upside. :tongue2:

Yeah, Barkley looks pretty good. I think there's a degree of relativity here (the other QBs just don't look all that good tonight), but he's definitely playing better than anyone else on the field tonight.

Went to an XFL game in Orlando for kicks (went to a USFL game in the 80s, too). They beat Las Vegas and He Hate Me. The best part was the cheerleaders.

Looked like he had a decent arm based on his highlight videos. I know they're highlight videos, and I have to keep that in mind, but it still looked like he had a solid delivery and accuracy. Haven't really been paying too much attention to the game tonight (watching the '02 title game).

In terms of quality programming I think UA is still far far off from Army AA game.

Stadium half-full, going for a MTV hafltime show, ridiculous licve commitments, and not even close to offering the sense of honor and "giving back" that Army game provides to these kids... Not saying UA can't get there, but IMO there is no comparison yet...

btw - big Luda fan here...but the whole game has been kinda off...not feeling it

I'm with you there. There doesn't really seem to be a direction for the whole broadcast. The "in the stands" bit with these kids doing the hat shuffle reminds me of a monster truck show (my cousin said) with the "How 'boutcha Dodge fans" routine, amidst a chorus off boos and cheers.
I keep looking to see if the game is being played at the fairgrounds coloseum. Just sayin.
