I love how Michigan fans are gushing over how well Forcier played (against the second string defense, no less) while at the same time making excuses for why the first team D played so bad

if you can make excuses for why the first team defense is at a major disadvantage in the spring game (no blitzes, injuries, ect. ect. which all may be legitimate reasons) doesn't that impact the second team D even more than the first team which in turn makes Forcier's performance a lot less impressive?

also, you can't make excuses for having terrible fundamentals

a lot of fans are expressing hope that all of the missed tackles and bad angles will be addressed between now and the season, but based on their recent history and their head coaches complete disregard for all things defense, I wouldn't hold my breath

From what I saw of the stadium, I can believe that they had 40K in there, but not 50K.

Onr of their marketing guys was interviewed during the game and said they had more people than tOSU had at Spring games. Umm, no, not even close.

tOSU charges admission, has the game shown on live local TV, and still easily has more folks in the stands. But it's good that they realize what their measuring stick should be.

The announced attendance was 76,346, but that appeared to be inflated on a gray and rainy day.

keep trying you jackasses, even if that number is inflated there were still way more than 50,000 people there and it was rainy and miserable (I personally froze my ass off and was soaking wet at the end of the day)
