2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

All reports on him are that his is slippery and tough to bring down. He's moved up to #2 in the depth chart. That's a hell of a run despite questionable tackling, especially for a guy that should still be in HS right now.

He does look impressive, but that is some awful tackling (no wrapping up, last guy simply trying to lay on a big hit). Simply astounding how much recent tsun defenses struggle with basic fundamentals. It'll be interesting to see if Greg Robinson has more success at fixing what has been a problem for a couple years and DC's now.

I agree. It's one thing in that drill where many go for big hits, but the tackling doesn't get much better in the 7x7 drills either, at least in the clips they showed.

Should I have heard of him before? Seriously.....as somebody who checks this thread and the awesome nuggets jwins puts down, if I knew who he was in February, I sure a shit don't remember.

Nah. 3* on scout, #102 RB, picked scUM over Iowa State, Minny, So Miss and Tennecheat. Looks impressive in practice, we'll see if it translates to games...

Michigan Wolverines WR Darryl Stonum sentenced for impaired driving - ESPN

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan freshman receiver Darryl Stonum has been sentenced to a year's probation for driving while impaired.

The Michigan Daily in Ann Arbor reports Wednesday that Stonum also must attend substance abuse education, a drunken driving victims panel, and complete three days in a jail community work program.
He was charged last fall with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. He later pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while visibly impaired.
Stonum, from Stafford, Texas, caught 14 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown last season.

Sadly, the walkon was the only guy to make a semi-decent attempt to tackle him. 33 and 89 look like they couldn't tackle my grandma in a phone booth. Shoulder tackling? Wrap him up you jackoffs. Fundafuckingmentals. Sheesh.

I disagree. I like their current tactics.
