2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

So it was all a conspiracy and a payback for scUM fans dogging Larry Caper last year? :roll1: That's pretty much the response I'd expect from the Beav if he were to give one.

How that clown is on the scout payroll is simply mind boggling to me.
they pay him a little over half of what they would pay a smart person. I think the actual figure is like 50.1%.

U-M's Rich Rodriguez talks QBs: 'We'll be all right'
BY MARK SNYDER • FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER • MARCH 10, 2009

Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez said today that he will keep with his policy of only discussing players currently with the team.

That means no insight into Steven Threet's decision to transfer. But Rodriguez would say that he's not worried about the quarterback position and feels better about it than he did last spring.

...

"I do (feel better) simply because of what we have around them and because they'll understand the system better," Rodriguez said of his quarterbacks. "Tate and David and Nick will have a whole spring, and Nick will have had a whole year. I think Denard is a smart-enough guy that in the course of the summer and fall camp, he can learn it. They're going to be surrounded by guys who should know what they're doing. The experience level isn’t a whole lot more, other than Nick, and Nick's played in some games. He's got some experience there.
With the annual spring game approaching (April 11), Rodriguez said he’s thinking about trying to break the national attendance record for a spring game. Alabama reportedly had about 92,000 two years ago.
