2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

Starting QB is a true freshman with a whole spring under his belt, what's to worry about?

Its not like they are going to lose 9 games or anything, they are M*ch*gan after all. They can simply out talent most of the teams on their schedule while the QB develops. Thats why you schedule the Appy State and Toledo's of the world early in the year. Good tune-ups for the young guys.

I think Denard is a smart-enough guy that in the course of the summer and fall camp, he can learn it.

Well that's a much more ringing endorsement than "he'll never play QB at Michigan" Justin Feagin. Look out Pat White!

I'm still waiting for the Toledo rematch! Shouldn't UM be forced to play Toledo AT The Glass Bowl? It's only fair!

I do not see it happening anytime soon.

First the AD has been behind this in the past if people remember they use to have a "garage sale" of unused merchandise from the previous year and also old practice stuff. They also use to have a 5k walk/run, softball games, baseball games, etc ... still did not work.

I also remember when it was nearly 75 degrees for one spring game and got sun burnt and I remember people on boards and elsewhere saying it was to nice to go to the spring game ... WHAT? Then you hear it the same way when it is nasty out ... I am not going if it is cold or bad wather? ... WHAT?

Here is a chance for a FREE EVENT to see your football team and enjoy Ann Arbor and people make excuses.

Yes it isn't a game ... so WHAT! It is a chance for you to see your team ... and did I mention it is FREE.

Remember as well when people said well I don't go because of it being a practice or just a half of scrimmage ... WHAT? Isn't this your team? I guess most have to be bribed or something to do anything.

Maybe with the economy so bad that maybe people will start coming to this for entertainment value now since it is still FREE and people dont have the entertainment dollars to do with it like in the past.

This year they have baseball and softball games as well besides the spring game. I could see more people coming this year and possible next years spring game to just get a look at the big house and what has changed.

People will always find an excuse not to go to this event.
