2/24

Miami lifelong favorite, but UM is #2. Distance not a factor. Wants to decide at state championship (Dec 20).
Miami Central quarterback Jeffrey Godfrey was the top quarterback in attendance Sunday at the New Level Athletics/Badger Sport passing camp on Miami Beach. GoBlueWolverine chats with the dual threat signal caller about his game and his recruitment. Miami is his long-time fav, but Michigan is closing fast.
Unless this is based on off-the-record stuff, he absolutely beamed when talking about Miami, far more than Mich. Still sounds like Miami is the prohibitive favorite here.

He also hails from Miami Central, which will make him tough to steal from Da U.

After Terrance Taylor pounded out his bench yesterday....the NFL network was gushing over Barwis strength and conditioning.
Too bad he was still inconsistent like so many Carr/Gittleson products at DT. Barwis can only do so much... which many learned wrt Stevie Brown and the defense. Others have shifted the timetable for when Barwis' impact will be noticeable.
Is this the same "rope" he let go of at WVU?
RR: What hold the rope means is I want a teammate, I want a team full of guys so that if I was hanging over the edge of the cliff, I can count on all of my teammates - 100 some of em - till their hands start to shake, all right, till their knees start to shake, and they start to sweat and bleed. Will you hold that rope for your teammate, and will you trust your teammate to hold that rope for you? What we say is we'll hold that rope.

How about pulling them up from the cliff, Rich?

Same fucking spiel from WVU. I'd like that reporter from the UConn press conference to attend a Michigan one and ask him how he can talk about trust and "rope holding" when there are 100 or so Moutaineers at the bottom of the cliff from the last rope he 'held'.

wtf. 100 guys? Sounds like he's channeling Weis, so to speak. If he needs 100 of his guys to hold him up, maybe he needs to be recruiting fewer slot receivers.

Never a better moment than today to point out the stark differences in OSU and Mich. With the committment of Durham by OSU, one could certainly assertain that lb-de types that can get to the passer are a priority. We will not lack for talent in this area for years to come. In Michigans case, with glaring needs on the defensive side of the ball, the first thing they do is go out and grab 3 recievers to add to an already crowded pool of players. Not alot of prioritizing defense up north these days.

DickRod thinks 6-7 DL is a surplus. I mean hell there's only 3 on the field at a time err wait no nevermind.

Man, that gameday simulation was VERY lame. Seriously, he might as well just had them play a video game and THEN go have a snowball fight. Those kids couldn't have cared less about the stadium.
I felt awkward just watching the video, let alone being there! Dang Rich Rod, and recruiting is one of your better qualities?

What's wrong with getting 3 good players. Those 3 aren't scrubs you know. I agree they need to focus on defense more but it's still early. It's only Feb. and I'm sure they will get some lbs this year. They don't need to get in panic mode especially when signing day is in FEB.
