UM has no CB depth, as seen by the drastic improvement by moving an undersized safety to CB this weekend (Woolfolk). Turner will eventually help them (maybe not this year), and they recruit the position well enough going forward, but this may be a case of addition by subtraction, despite his raw talent.
Boo Boo has been a major distraction. He's been a headache on the field, the sidelines, the practice field, and he's not even doing the student athlete thing any longer (since being benched).
The only thing he's accomplished this season is arm-waving & taunting the opponent for bailing him out with drops or stepping out of bounds.
It's not over, but Boo Boo has a lot of his body out the door up north.
Last year, UM's defense was very disappointing.
This year, UM's defense has been fairly bad.
Next year, UM's defense could be even worse.
They lose Graham, and it's possible that Warren could declare for the NFL, particularly with the bounce-back year he's having. He will be a first day pick.
Not only does UM not have anyone to replace Graham, their rush LB position - Quick - is getting abused in the running game. Iowa ran it right down their throats on the right side, as Kirk pointed out (they found something they liked). Iowa got away from that on multiple drives, and the drives stalled. There was little room to operate running left.
UM needs Emilien, Turner & a few young LBs to step up in the worst way for next season, or the offense & defense could continue to race in opposite directions.
