No, I'm in favor of a playoff. College football will hit a new level of fandom when you can make a playoff and win the national title while still losing two games during non-conference play to top bcs schools. I'm all for playing the best teams you can, but the BCS doesn't reward for it.

I'm glad he picked Purdue then. You guys will get to see him a lot if he ends up playing for Purdue. Doesn't sound like we got anything special in Threet. Hopefully some good coaching can get Threet progressing.

It's not a guarantee. Texas this past year. There are too many examples of teams that deserved a shot at the title, that missed out because a computer said they weren't the top two teams.

The best teams should be in the national championship. Beating up on the William and Marys, Appalachian States (oops!), etc. don't determine anything other than records. Beating USC? Now that would prove something. I'll take the challenge. I'm glad I attend a university whose football program isn't afraid of competition that isn't necessary, considering their status in the college football world. It should be mandatory for these programs to schedule other powerhouses, not rare.
