2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

I'd love to see RR go to UT, if for no other reason than to watch the delusional UM boards go from "All in for UM," "RR needs to have his own players," and "The cupboard was bare," to "RR was a bum who wasn't ever going to win anything at UM anyway," all in the course of about 5 seconds.

Patience Grasshopper! Such wisdom will still come to the scUM faithful in due time.....:wink2:

Exactly. No need to rush. Those statements will come, but wouldn't it be better if they came...say...2 years from now so that they could wallow in college football ambivilance & irrellevance for another 4 years. ND and TSUN irrellevant...it's so fun to watch.

If RR goes, the next question is: TN having already scraped the barrel bottom for a last-minute, pre-NSD hire, what slug beneath the barrel would tSUN have to dig up as their next HC?

John Cooper.

But seriously the AD needs to start looking around and see who can replace Rich Rod. He will be gone in the next season or by 2011. He needs to get on the ball and starting looking right now. At this point, anybody that can get this team to a bowl game will do.

Do you still want Bill Martin to have a role in that? I mean... he's fine by me, but I wouldn't think that the Michigan faithful would have any trust in that cat any more.

Sure, Bill Martin is almost out of there, but once he leaves the Dominos will fall into place.

on the recruiting note

of the top 10 prospects from the state of Michigan the past 2 seasons (according to Rivals)

1 5* 16 4* 3 3*

good ole Rich Rod has managed to only land land 3/20 (09 5* DT Will Campbell, 09 4* WR Cameron Gordon, 10 4* QB Devin Gardiner)

12/20 have gone to Michigan State

2/20 have gone to State Penn

1/20 has gone to Ohio State

1/20 has gone to Iowa

1/20 has gone to Oregon

pretty solid talent instate

but instead Rich Rod ventures for out of state reaches?

Sparty certainly isnt complaining

MSU recruiting classes are starting to look like Michigan's used to. It seems like Michigan is getting some of the pieces, but I can't foresee them putting them all together in a year anytime soon. It seems like they may have a great player here and there, just like graham in 09...but with no depth and gaping holes in parts of the team, you won't go far. From the looks of things, it looks like 7 wins would be an over-achievement for Michigan next year. They may find themselves playing in The 'Shoe, not just to keep from losing 7 in a row to the Buckeyes (That's crazy to think about), but also for bowl eligibility just like in the 09 version of The Game.

Sick to think that we are going for 7 in a row and 9 of the last 10 next year...at home!

I didn't know about the slogan until I went to The Game back in November...but apparently RichRod's slogan for the year was, "All In For Michigan". Is that like going all in with 7 2 off-suit?
