I find it very interesting that you have the Beavers so high, and don't have the Ducks in the Top 25.

I went back and forth with this one. I have oregon just outside of my top 25. I wanted to pick one darkhorse candidate and i feel Oregon St has a chance to be that team. I like how there schedule starts with Portland St at home, and then they play at UNLV, and then get Cincinnati and Arizona at home. Cincinnati will be very tough in my opinion and arizona will be improved as well. If they can get on a roll early i think they can be a player in the conference. The back half of there schedule is tough they play at USC, Cal, and Oregon. Oregon starts off with a tough game at Boise St. This is a game that i beleive they lose. However they get Cal, Utah, and USC all at home along with the beavers. So i think the determining factor is which school beats USC and i think Oregon St. will do that. USC loses one game is seems every year in conference that they shouldn't lose. Theyv'e beat them twice in the last three years and played them tough in the game they lost. Oregon also beat them two years ago so take that with a grain of salt and they get them at home. So in conclusion Oregon looks better on paper and probably has a more favorable schedule however i dont think Oregon St. is that far behind if at all and thats why im picking them to be a darkhorse contender in the PAC-10. I think they can finish as high as second and should be in the top four along with Oregon and Cal.

UM at 9? They should be 15th at best.

I also had some other picks that were somewhat questionable with TCU at 10. And nebraska at 24. Not to mention i have three Big East teams ranked and the AP poll has none. Not to mention i have five Big Ten teams ranked to only four SEC(three of those four happen to be in my top 10)and i even ranked Notre Dame(just based on talent not coaching). Personally i think the SEC is top heavy with Florida as the clear number one and then Alabama as a distant two. Those are the only true elite teams i see in that conference. Ole Miss is in my top 10 and they have two great players on both sides of the ball in Jevan Snead at QB and Greg Hardy at DE. despite that i dont think they compete for a NC. I think the same can be said with the Big 12 with Texas and Oklahomna. I really think that the PAC-10 and BIG-10 are going to be the two most improved conferences this year.
