This was supposed to be the year Toledo was going to become a MAC power again. After losing to Ball State 31-0, the Rockets are now 1-4 with the one win coming against Eastern Michigan and has seen its rushing attack fall off the map. After running for 233 scores and three touchdowns against Eastern Michigan and 297 yards and four touchdowns against Fresno State, the Rockets were held to 94 yards and no touchdowns against FIU and 14 yards against Ball State. A trip to Michigan is up next. The Wolverines are allowing just 109 yards per game.

There is a thread on GBW titled "The Positives"How in the hell are there any positives when you lose to Toledo at home...a 1-4 Toledo!!! Their fans are on suicide watch. Next week when PSU dust them they will be two losses away from missing a bowl game.

They will not be getting that valuable practice time from bowl season

Depends on how we lose 'em and how many other games we lose too. But a grace period's a grace period. I'm not gonna be all "fire his ass" if he doesn't do well this season because obviously he wasn't hired with this season in mind. But put it this way: the worse he does this year, the shorter his future rope will be with most fans. Fail to make a bowl and people (including me) are gonna be looking for that to be fixed pronto.

lol at Toledo beating Michigan(I'm a Toledo student surrounded by a lot of Michigan fans up here).

I watch Toledo get killed by Ball State and Florida International two weeks in a row, then we beat Michigan.

Michigan will be lucky to win 4 this year.

And here I thought, with our 7 national championships and 7 Heisman trophies, that we played at a little football at Ohio State...

But it's going to take time and people will have to be patient while Rodriguez gets the type of players he needs.

College FB is better IMO when the traditional powers (and I exclude the Fla schools they are Johnny come latelies).....Alabama back, ND appears to be getting there, USC, Michigan, OU etc......These are the big time programs with the big time tradition.......And no, I don't include the Buckeyes.......They think they're as big as those programs but they are not.

Hang in there Wolverines there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

The entire MAC shares a single weight room in Ft. Wayne. They take turns busing up there for either a morning or afternoon session once a week.

All I heard all summer was that the UM S&C coach alone could turn 150 lbs of tofu into an All American Linebacker.

You lost to Toledo. TOLEDO. A MEDIOCRE Toledo.

The last time Toledo had a winning record in a season when they played a Big Ten team they lost to 7-5 Minnesota 61-21. That is what you do to Toledo if you are in the Big Ten. That is what you do to a decent Toledo.

UM starts 5 seniors and 4 juniors on D. All quality recruits. You don't run a frikin' spread D. RR did not invent a new frickin' D. Quit hiding behind your offensive transition.

Sure, Toledo did not score an Offensive TD - but they did rack up 327 yards of total offense. And you lost.

It's TOLEDO!!!! It's the MAC!!!

You are, er... used to be ..... Michigan.

You suck. You may be good next year or the year after that. But right now you capital S-U-C-K suck.

Your offense sucks. Your defense sucks. Even your special teams suck.

And most of all your coaching sucks.
