In what has got to be the least surprising news of the 2010 class, Jeremy Jackson committed to Michigan. Got our WRs for the class, unless RR finds someone that's 5'4" and runs a 4.1 40. Marvin Robinson is scheduled to visit for the MSU game and may commit then.

I wonder where brutus2002 is? He was last seen in this thread a few weeks ago telling us the walls of Jericho are falling or something like that, followed almost immediately by verbals from two of the top DEs in the country. I hope he shows up again soon - it might cause Jelani Jenkins to become a Wolverine.

I am towing the line between HTM and brutus2002, if he does indeed feel the stadium is collapsing. I can see where HTM is coming from, as the recent commits and last Saturday's never quit performance, the situation suddenly got a little better. On br02's side, there are many, many problems north of Toledo, and that includes your overall football program in AA (is a whore). I can't make an absolute right now, because I would say .500 or so for scUM, while they may go .750 or else .250.

I would prefer the .750 and an ass kicking in Columbus.

Funny thing is.....so is the team itself right now. I said it in the Illinois vbet thread, but it bears repeating: anyone who bets actual money on a Michigan game is insane.

What gives me hope for this season is that they've played better each game so far. Or, let me rephrase that, because the first half against Wisconsin might have been the offense's worst half all year: their best has been better and better each game.

I think you're living in denial. Michigan isn't good.....at all. Betting money against them is still a very good idea, despite the miracle they pulled out of their asses last weekend.

Here is something I noticed during the Michigan game. The starters on the D-line are good...very good. Ezeh is a hell of a linebacker. Their back-ups suck ass. They have no depth on defense. Their starters on defense are being ground into the dirt. Their fans/coaches cannot expect their defensive front to play 3/4 of the game(ranked 114th in TOP NATIONALLY) and play with the same intensity game after game or without getting injured. The Michigan defense wore down in the 2nd half. This problem will start costing them late in the season. They will see injuries or they will wear down in the 2nd half of games.

This is the result of losing out on defensive players. Macho Harris, Justin King, Ronald Johnson are just a few examples. Zook, Weis, Tressel, and now Dantonio are making the recruiting trail in the midwest very tough for Michigan. RR is making it even worse by neglecting recruiting in his region. Dantonio is creating relationships while RR is tearing them down. The lack of defensive recruiting compounded with the change of the offensive system has basically set Michigan back at least 3 years. Hell they lost 2 stud recruits at linebacker one due to grades and the other transfer IIRC. This is gonna get bad for them. If they continue to lose they will have decommits for sure.

RR underestimated the talent of the B10. You can tell...he has the look on his face like damn these guys are pretty good...no shit genius. He is gonna find out that this conference is a grind. Those light in the ass defenders and offensive players aren't gonna cut it. McGuffie gets hits and flies back two yards. Michigan sold their souls and will pay for it.

Fuck Wisconsin for blowing a 19 point lead...it will probably allow the weasels to make a bowl game.

The booing returned to the Big House. It's become the newest Michigan tradition. It's become the newest Michigan tradition. But in a different twist this time, the loudest jeers came from the head coach. Rich Rodriguez revealed the first hint of frustration Saturday, exasperated over his team's continued deficient execution. He didn't hide his disgust in the aftermath of one of the worst drubbings Michigan ever endured on its home turf. "This is ridiculous right now," Rodriguez lamented.

Detroit Free Press

Huh.

Bryce McNeal, the outstanding Breck wide receiver who committed to Michigan, was a visitor at Gophers practice last week, and friends have said that if the Gophers prove they can win some games, McNeal might change his mind.
Newspapers can be as reliable as tabloids when it comes to recruiting, but the thing is, there are rumblings of this elsewhere as well.
