To pretend he's not a beast is just silly, Marcus Hall and other very good OL couldn't seem to keep him in front of them. No matter where he goes he is a monster.
So was Gabe Watson. Question is will Big Will improve his consistency and conditioning? That doesn't show up in 1v1s.

To be fair to Gabe Watson, he did have a good game against us in 2004, especially during their consecutive goal line stands in the first half (I remember him leap-frogging Mangold to stuff a goal line run). As for the rest of those above-mentioned "beasts"...

Also to be fair, none of those players mentioned played the majority of their carreers under DickRod. Will that make a difference? I hope not. But, if they can't use past successes (qb's in the NFL), than we can't use past failures.

I watched the OL videos, and there was only one matchup between Hall and Campbell. Hall did keep him in front of him the entire time, albeit Campbell drove Hall back to the marker.

I'll be very interested to see how Jeremy Gallon performs on Saturday. He's a prototypical RR guy, short, electric slotdot. Odoms was ok but Gallon has the chance to come in and play right away, either alongside the QB or out of the slot.

The mere incident of them playing in the Pac 10 didn't do that. Loosing to Oregon State did.

the 4 teams ahead of USC all had 1 loss, and UFs loss to Mississippi is of the same quality but USCs loss was on the road.

not saying it is the sole reason, but I think that USC & PSU were hurt in BCS picture at least partly due to conference perception
