2008 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

PSU loses another one.

Top-100 prospect, speed demon (WR) AJ Alexander, committed to the Seminoles.

Unlike some others (Hale, Sweat, etc) who are no longer desired (since they're headed elsewhere), the PSU boards have been high on Alexander & PSU's chances for awhile.

They are really struggling with instate talent this year.

Going elsewhere: Hale, Baldwin, Sweat, Nix, Saddler, Alexander, Moody
Uphill battle: Pryor, Carraway, Graham, Wilson, Holley
PSU lean: Wedderburn

That's not THAT shocking. I think you probably have case with Adams. I don't know about Torrence though. I'd have him right behind those two in the Stoneburner-Posey-Moore range. JMO.

It is shocking IMO, when any evaluator of talent will at least have Adams and most probably Torrence as well...A TE just doesnt have the same value as OT or RB...I am not discreting Kyle in anyway, and I think that he is a great player and best TE in the country, but I would take Adams and Torrence on my team over him anyday of the week...

Where is Cissoko? I see he didn't get a 5 star, that whole star system is a joke anyway.

He isn't from Florida, Cali, or Texas is what happened to him. He is the best CB in the country imo and a 5 star player for sure. But I could see Rudolph being the number 3 player in Ohio but I think all of Torrence, Adams, and Rudolph are 5 stars in my books. So the fact that they have him #1 is shocking but maybe not him being a 5 star. I also want to see where Posey and Stoney are, after tearing up the combines. I thought Posey may get a 5 star rating. Shoemate being a 5 star was a joke though...he didn't even play his junior year hardly.

I think that Cissoko is good and would have him somewhere in the top 30, but I have Bryant and Johnson ahead of him...Largely due to the fact that they do the same things Cissoko does, but they have 2 or 3 inches on him, which can be a huge liability when it comes to corners...

Shoemate is very good, might be a little overanked, but he is one of those guys that if he comes back from injury where he left off they have him rightfully ranked, if not, they can just merely point out that his injury is having lingering effects and that is the reason for the drop...The fact that USC stuck with him and they took his committment is telling that he will heal up nicely, and that he has skill...

As for Stoney and Posey they should be top 70 for sure...

Pacman Jones is only 5'9. Hopefully Cissoko will be like him, without the off the field problems.

I never said that you can't be a good corner only standing 5'9'', There are so many examples like DHall, Winfield, etc...

My only thing is with these receivers standing so tall nowadays, that when a guy possess the same type skills, but has about 3 inches, then I put them ahead of the shorter guys...

Look at the disadvantage that Plaxico had against us in 98 against Winfield...

Posey should be higher. Adams is an excellent prospect, and I would probably have him in the 30-50 range. The reason is that some of the other OLers are firing off the line with more power and he does. That wide frame really serves him well for a OT, but he is going to have to develop a quicker feet and become more powerful to fend off the big and quick DEs he'll see in college.
