Yeah I would like to see us go after a very good SG and that would take this team to the next level IMO...

West is not getting the credit he deserves at the point IMO, and he is still young and with him and boobie I think we got a good 1-2 punch at the point for the time being, unless we get someone like Rose or Westbrook which isn't going to happen PG isn't that much of a need as SG...Watching tonights game and all the switching that is going on, you see why it hurts to have an undersized SG when Butler or LBJ get up against the smaller guys they go right off the dribble...

Get Sasha healthy and he has the potential to be a very good 2....why draft that unless we know we aren't going to re-sign him? Plus Boobie could start there if we need him too, but Boobie will never be a very good PG.

I'm still for PG, but wouldn;t be hurt if they took an offensive effiecent 4 or 5. I'd be greatly disappointed with a 2, as I think Sasha and Boobie have that spot pretty well stocked up.

On one hand I agree with CB40 that a good SG would be of the most help to the Cavs right now I just don't think you are going to find that with the 22nd pick in the draft. I get the feeling that they will have to use their trade assets to trade for a good SG next season. West is the first real PG that the Cavs have had in the Lebron era, but I would be all for it if they could draft a PG that might be better than West after a year or two. I agree with this post that a big with scoring ability would be a good pick. Not so much for next year, the next when their current bigs will be gone. Thus my KK argument. Or they could draft Robin Lopez to add to their big hair big men. :p
When looking at bigs they need to find an athletic guy either with a ton of energy and some offensive game or a ton of offensive game. They should be able to find one or two thumpers as FA for the bench to give them depth in the future, but it will be much harder find the starter that they will need outside of the draft. Due to development time this needs to be the year IMO especially since they will most likely trade away their first round pick next year.

Here's an early mock draft.

I don't watch much CBB, but is there any chance the Cavs can get a good young PG this year? If Butler doesn't get drafted I'd love to see them give him a chance.

No way the Miami Heat pass on Michael Beasley if they get the #1 overall pick. Or take Derrick Rose, considering he is very similar to a player they already have (Dwyane Wade). Look for the Heat to take a big man.

I dunno I thinking Rose should be in the conversation and it will depend on what team needs are...But Rose is a mismatch to quite a few teams in the NBA with his size at the PG position...Put Wade at the 2, Rose at the 1, Marion at the 3 and that is great size in the backcourt and not many mismatches presented there...

I think they are 1A, 1B and it depends on team need...

Some draft day deals materializing:

Richard Jefferson to the Bucks for Bobby Simmons and Yi Jianlin

Some rumors:

Nets pick (#10) and next year's first for Grizzlies pick (#5) to take Gallinari before Knicks can take him.

Clippers trying to swap the #7 for Sonics #4 to take Mayo or Westbrook.

I actually don't mind this pick at all. Glue players are something the Knicks team is lacking sorely. As a fan, I've resigned myself to 2 years of rebuilding so hopefully he'll be a useful piece when the time comes.
Check his wikipedia entry:

He was the 6th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks. He was promptly traded for 4 pounds of fresh mozzarella cheese.
