Love and Collison are expected to hire agents, which would mean they could not return to UCLA next season.
Most NBA draft experts project Love being chosen anywhere from sixth to No. 13 overall, and that is the information Howland gave Love, sources said.

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Michael Beasley reportedly is expected to leave Kansas State after one season and enter the NBA draft.
"That's what he wants to do. Mike feels he can play with anybody," Curtis Malone, Beasley's former AAU coach, told the Kansas City Star.
Malone told the newspaper that he talked with Beasley as late as Sunday.
"My last words to him were, 'Do what you feel is best.' He's considered the option of going back," Malone told the Star. "He doesn't want to be selfish, either. But he also wants to take care of his family."

Memphis freshman point guard Derrick Rose, quiet since last week's national title game, is ready to break his silence and announce his decision to enter the NBA Draft, a source close to Rose told CBSSports.com on Monday.
The source said the famously shy Rose will likely release a statement to the media this week -- perhaps as early as Tuesday -- and in turn avoid a news conference like the one Michael Beasley just held.
The source added there will be no mention of an agent in the statement -- meaning Rose isn't expected to yet disclose whether he's signing with Leon Rose or Arn Tellem, which is a hot topic in basketball circles because if Rose goes with Tellem it will be an act against conventional wisdom given Rose's longstanding relationship with William Wesley (aka Worldwide Wes), a prominent sports figure who works closely with Leon Rose.
Rose is projected by many to be the No. 1 pick in June's NBA Draft after guiding Memphis to a 38-2 record this season while averaging 14.9 points, 4.7 assists and 4.5 rebounds. He averaged 20.8 points, 6.0 assists and 6.5 rebounds in the NCAA tournament and led the Tigers to the national title game, where they lost 75-68 to Kansas in overtime.

Lebron only as two more years left on his contract and if they don't show some drastic improvement by getting some quality guys by the time his contract is done he might bolt for NJ and that would be it for Cleveland. I think Z has 2-3 more years left on his contract so we will have time to get someone to fill his role.
Besides Rush is there any love for CD-R to go to Cleveland. I think he would be a good addition but will defer to your knowledge since you have followed the Cavs up close and personal this year.

I see them making moves next year with the expiring contracts to pick up a Michael Redd type of player so I think that is how you show Lebron that you are dedicated to winning. I don't think that one player taken 22nd in the draft is going to do much to improve the team next season. I think they have the freedom in this draft to take the BPA (in a year or two) rather than the current BPA. There are a ton of good PG's available as well as bigs. Those are the needs I see. Lebron has 2 years left so if you pick on potential now you need to make sure that that potential is realized it a year or two.
crazybuckfan40;1145430; said:Like I also said in that thread, I am starting to liek the two Kansas guys Arthur and Rush...
Rush would of been a lottery pick this year if not for his knee injury last year before the draft..Reading a scouting report, he has a great wingspan that allows him to be a very good defender, and at Kansas he always got the toughest matchup...At 6'6'' he is not undersized at all for the two guard spot, has good athleticism and can really shoot the ball which we need from the SG spot...
Arthur is a guy that can fill in at the PF and eventually he and Wild Thing make for a good 1-2 punch at the PF...Arthur is super athletic and has a solid game out to 15 ft. and is a defensive force in the paint...
And in terms of Collison he is just too risky IMO...I put Boobie and West as the PG over him and not sure I see Collison ever being any better than him...He is just not strong enough at this time to compete at the NBA level...It has bothered him when he goes up against bigger guards...
I think that KK and maybe a guy like Hibbert could be guys to look at as well...
Some other guys to think about are Budinger, Augustine(if we go point I go with him or Chalmers), and maybe the other Lopez brother...

Now that Ferry has the pieces that teams look for in a trade I see something big happening next year. Does Mike Redd wear a headband? If so he might be in trouble with the Bucks now. :p
