Xavier is down 15 to St. Joe's with 17 minutes left...if they lose there goes another bubble.

Xavier loses 61-53 and another bubble team goes home as "X" takes their bid.

Joe Lunardi doesn't even list tOSU as a 'last 4 out' team anymore. If we won, we were in, if we lost "adios". I'm still holding out hope, but he's been pretty accurate in the past, and we aren't even in consideration anymore in his opinion.

:smash: Wish we could say that...

I heard that the last time the two finalists from the previous year didn't even make the tournament the next, was after the Magic/Bird national championship. 1979 right? Looks like you can probably add 2008 as well.

Unlike football, it looks like basketball must rebuild and not reload.

IDK, I think it will only be this year and mainly because Cook and Conley left when no one thought they would at the beginning of last year. From here on out (at least 3-4 more years) we should be pretty loaded.

I would not like that match up but if we get in I will take it.

Versus Pittsburgh? That would be tough but as a 12 seed no one we get would be easy. At this point, I'd love it just because it puts us in the field.

Looks like Illinois is going to play Wisconsin so we need the Badgers to win. We also need Kent State to beat Akron tonight as the Flashes would have a strong at-large shot if they lose. Akron has to win to get a bid.

Us over VTech.....after the way they played today..............If the comittee watched the game, I dont think so. Even though I HOPE so!

Lol, Virginia Tech??? Dont listen to Vitale and Patrick they are in love with the ACC. VT only played Clemson, Duke, UNC all once and all the sub-par teams in the conference twice. Horrible OOC schedule and best win was their tourney win over Miami (their only RPI top 50 win). I dont think VT will be in the running for our spot, rather Nova or ASU.
