Murdaugh is a beast!! Can anyone remember a freshman running faster 400 times in Ohio State History? This 4x4 team is doing big things. Hopefully we can see them break 3:05 and compete at nationals. :oh:
Andrew Pierce back in the late 90's, early 2000's ran pretty well as a freshman... ended up breaking 45 his junior and senior years. Hopefully Murdaugh can repeat those performances.

"Dan ran a great race and I am even more convinced he can run 1:48," head coach Robert Gary said. "Jeff continues to race himself back into shape after missing time and I still think he will get it down to 3:37 this summer. Track guys, I have been trying to follow the Ohio State track team and they seemed to be rounding in pretty good shape for the Big 10. I guess my question would be what are their chances for the title since are distance guys seem to be coming back in good shape. It would be interesting to get your insights on who you think will be our stiffest competition but I think it is going to be the scummers but hopefully I am wrong.

Great to see Jeff See back out there. Is this his last year of eligibility for track? Cross Country?
I believe he has one more year of each... below is what I have gathered from a few resources:

Indoor Track -- Ran for OSU in '06, '07, '08, '09 - Eligibility exhaused
Outdoor Track -- Ran for OSU in '06, redshirted in '07, ran in '08 and '09 - 1 year of eligibility left, must run in '10
Cross Country -- Ran in '05, '06, '07 - 1 year of eligibility left, must run in '09

no northwestern?
Correct... haven't had a track team as long as I've been following college track. NU has a women's cross country program and some of their distance runners participate in track but they are not an official team thus do not participate at the Big Ten Championships.

I think the favorite is Minnesota with Wisconsin a close second and Ohio State will be battling Michigan and Illinois for 3rd place. I'll try to get a little preview together this week.
