2008-2009 Ohio State Men's Track and Cross Country

Murdaugh finished 5th in his heat with a time of 45.84.... which is good enough to qualify him for tomorrow's final! He'll have the 8th best time going into the finals, probably putting him in Lane 9.

Thomas will run for a National Championship at 12:12PM CST and Jeff See will do his best to bring a National title back to Ohio at 1:21PM CST tomorrow... good luck guys!

Running the outside lane against equality of guys he is going up against will be extremely difficult for Thomas put this should bode well for the future with him only being a freshman.

Jeff certainly has come back a long way from an injury that took away half his season.

Best of luck guys. No matter what the finish you have done The Ohio State University proud.

Sport: Track and field (sprints)

Year: Sophomore

Hometown : Dublin (Dublin Scioto High School)

The skinny: In three years, Thomas Murdaugh has gone from open-heart surgery to track All-American.

That would sound like mission accomplished to most people, but Murdaugh is not satisfied just yet.

With the Buckeyes' track season starting this week, the sophomore from Dublin Scioto is looking forward to building on the success that took many by surprise last year.

Murdaugh anchored Ohio State's Big Ten-championship 4x400-meter relay team and finished seventh in the individual 400 meters at the NCAA outdoor championships to earn All-America honors. He was the only Buckeye to qualify for the NCAA indoor championships, where he finished 10th in the 400.
